The above picture is Kapan Monastery which is situated on the outskirts of Kathmandu, near Bouddhanath Stupa in Bouddha. It is conceived as a center of study and meditation for students from Himalayan sangha (fraternity) and foreign countries. The picture of left side, is a stupa of Kapan Monastery which is a holy place of Buddhist pilgrimage.
The above picture is Nepal Vipassana center Budhanilakantha, Kathmandu. Vipassana means to see things as they really are. It is art of living which frees the individual from all the negativity of the mind, such as anger, greed, envy and desire. Please remember here if you want meditation.
The are several other pilgrimage site of Buddhist here. If you can manage you can see the Namo Buddha which is situated in Kavrepalanchok district a short driving distance from Kathmandu.
It is about 45KM outside of Kathmandu. Namobuddha Monastery was found by V.V. Khenchen Thrangu Rinpoche in 1978 as a small retreat center and now has grown to a large monastery with several hundred monks.
This is another pilgrimage site for Buddhist called World Peace Pagoda located touristic place Pokhara. If you are here and want to make your trip fantastic then you can't miss Pokhara as having many beautiful and attractive places together with World Peace Pagoda.
