Okhaldhunga is a touristic place where you can enjoy the multicultural environment. This district has heavily affected by the quake of 25 April. The people of this place are so simple and devoted to greet international visitors. They think that any guest who reach there regarded as the representative of the god. We are delighted to inform that Experience Nepal Treks & Expedition will run the majority of their scheduled Nepal trips this autumn. Over the last month the company have conducted an assessment of all the areas that they operate in, and apart from trips in the Langtang, Rolwaling and Manaslu areas, all their planned treks, climbs, bike rides and discovery tours from September will go ahead.
Although there are reconstruction projects in process, life in Kathmandu is now runni...ng as normal and damaged historical sites such as Durbar Square have been partly rebuilt. The government of Nepal reopened the square to the public along with many other UNESCO world heritage sites such as in Patan on the 15 June 2015.

Everest Area – The footpaths in this area are now in operation all the way to Everest Base Camp which is now in good condition again. There has been some damage to a few lodges but on the main Everest trail it is only in Pheriche that we have problems. We will make alternative arrangement here if our lodge has not been rebuilt. The only trek in this area that we will not be running is (ELL) Everest Luxury Lodge Trek as our lodge at Kongde needs repairs that will not be finished until later this year.
Annapurna and Mustang Area – This popular trekking area only suffered slight damage and the whole of the circuit along with side valleys such as Naar and Phu are fully open.
The Dhaulagiri and Dolpo areas in the west of Nepal were hardly affected by the earthquake.
The Makalu and Kangchenjunga areas in the east of Nepal also suffered very little damage from the earthquake.
In Langtang, Rolwaling and Manaslu we have cancelled the following treks until spring 2016.

(GSF) Gauri Shankar Foothills Trek
(HTL) Helambu to Langtang
(YRV) Yalung Ri and the Rolwaling Valley
The monsoon is now in full flow over Nepal and as usual every year this will trigger some landslides and trekking routes may have some change by September. But this is normal, travel in developing mountainous countries is always unpredictable.
